Re: Meatheads
Tue, July 20, 2004 - 7:59 PMFrom my "college years"...
I was at a local bar with a few of my friends but unfortunately it was "Karaoke/$1 Draft Night" so of course the Meatheads were there in full force. They were decked out in their American Eagle caps--turned backward of course--wearing sweaters with the cuffs rolled up and cutoff khaki pants with the fringes hanging. Sandals and/or flip flops, Oakley sunglasses (softball blades) attached to Chums straps that hung behind their necks--remember it was at night--and tattoos of their frat rounded off their accessories. It was about 1 a.m. so of course their draft beer was fully kicked and they had total control of the mic. Needless to say the Meatheads were hudled in a semi-circle, swaying back and forth, spilling beer, burning cigarette holes in their Gap sweaters, and "singing" Piano Man. Then, the sorority girl mating call "Damn, I'm drunk!" was heard and they dropped the mic like an 8 a.m. Economics 101 class and began their "Mack Skills" while giving each other high fives and yelling,"BooYa!!"

Wed, July 21, 2004 - 11:42 AMNo disrespect to the armed forces but I agree with the meathead factor. I lived in Pensacola for a few years so we had Naval Air Station and Eglin Meatheads but no way in hell would I confront them about their meatheadness (too many S.E.A.L.s mixed in the groups). They did however swarm the bars, beaches, and Best Buy to display their meathead rituals. -

Wed, July 21, 2004 - 2:58 PMVery true that our armed forces are choke full of meatheads. But then again, who would you want going into battle...some ripped 6'2 225lb monster or someone that enjoys discussing Cubism vs. Futurism. -

Sat, July 24, 2004 - 9:55 PMTHOSE of you who joined, thanks, I appreciate that I am not the only person out there that thinks past how much I can bench press or how to score free drinks. SPREAD THE WORD, I want this to become a tribe not only for humor, but to vent when you've had to much mainstream meathead world.
